The last 365 days have taken me into the most intimate and joyful moments in so many people’s lives. The days have also taken me around the state of Florida, into Georgia, Las Vegas, NY, and even Iceland. Wow. When I sat down today to put this recap together I wasn’t sure how I wanted to introduce it. I finally settled on sharing 1 frame from every wedding ceremony I captured this year. My next post will include my favorite frames from all of my maternity, boudoir, and commercial sessions. But this post…this one is all about the LOVE I’ve shared through my lens this year.
It was EXCRUCIATING to pick only one image from each wedding. If you follow me at all you know that I love to flood Facebook with at least one HUNDRED of my favorite images from a wedding day. Narrowing it down to one was almost impossible. But I did it! Phew!
I tried to choose an image that really summed each celebration up. I also tried to show a variety of facets from the wedding day. There are SOOOO many moments and expressions and details and loved ones and friends and family…and they are all important. I love to to show the variety of emotions and of course the light too. From day to night, inside to outside, traditional to quirky, laughter to tears….
I cannot tell you how thankful and honored I am to have been trusted by so many beautiful souls. And let me also take a moment to thank ALL of the other talented professionals that brought these weddings into reality this year. Please settle in and have a look at my 2015.
My first weeding of the year was with Brigitte & Roberto. They are the most tender and sweet couple you’ll meet. I chose this photo because of their adorable embrace and how it shows off their wedding bands and their treasured family pins.
This is still my favorite reception moment of all time! Bride Lisa danced to “Tiny Bubbles” with her Grandpa as her family blew bubbles! He loved it so much!
Shawna & Anthony’s day was all about romance and glamour. I love this sneaky through the veil frame of a sweet kiss.
Next, Ana & Reece had a super rad and unique wedding in downtown! They are also both twins! How cool right?
Ooooooohhhhhh Jess & Steve. These two booked me way back in 2013! By the time the big day finally came we actually had become great friends! They are both Vets and they live just around the corner from me in Seminole Heights. This candid moment during the first dance gets me teary every time.
Allison and Pete have smiles that big pretty much 24/7 and when their wedding party threw confetti on them during the intros into their reaction it was priceless!
I debated sharing an image of Stephanie and David showing off their love of cartoons and being goofy…..but I just love how dreamy this one is. They are such a good match for each other.
Awww Lindsey & Brad are traditional and deep. I couldn’t resist the light coming through the stained glass at their chapel and their classic embrace fit just right.
Before I say anything about their amazing backyard wedding I have to gush that Erin & David are expecting their first baby together in 2016!!!!! Ahhhh!! I am so excited for them! I was in love with Erin’s pink dress but I also cried at every turn on this wedding day. These two have a connection and respect for each other like I have never seen before.
Sweet Liz & Josh got married at Sacred Heart, but first she got ready in her childhood home. I just love this portrait of Liz before she headed off to say I do.
YESS! Brad and Jill are awesome! Their intimate wedding at the Dali was so much fun! And since then Brad and I have become great friends and business partners. Together we have launched Capture the Yes! Proposal Photography!
Dan and Rick had a GORGEOUS wedding day at the USF Botanical gardens. I am overjoyed to have been a part of such a wonderful day! Love won in 2015!! #equallove
Sarai and Ryan are pretty much the Brady bunch only better. Their elopement aboard a private yacht on a sunset sail was so much fun!! Her excitement pretty much sums it up!
Then it was Tricia & Ryan’s wedding day at the Cross Creek Ranch. They had the most tearful and joyful first look! But everything else was all smiles and jokes. This image of Tricia doing her famous 360 move is my absolute fav!
Shaime and Bryan met at USF and got married at USF! They were so excited and true to themselves with their sophisticated Lord of the Rings theme!
Megan and Joe had a magical wedding day with 200+ of their family, friends, and congregation. I loved how my nifty prism created an amplified effect with the gorgeous stained glass.
Katie and Jason had a perfectly pink sunset to go with their gorgeous venue and decor! Her awesome maid of honor is actually the sister of my next bride Birtney too! And I will never forget our fun day at Disney World for their engagement session!
Britney and Adam had a stunning wedding at a historic plantation in Georgia this summer. Britney and I share a love of emerald and sophisticated fun! I love this portrait of her….there is so much contentment and happiness on her face and in her eyes.
Melissa and Micheal were such a blast! They were so hilarious and irreverent! But when it came time for a few moments alone for the sunset they were so romantic and lovely. I love this frame of them holding each other close as the paddle boarders sneak by in the distant surf.
Lisa and Ted are such goofballs! I love how they didn’t let a little rain dampen their awesome yacht elopement!
These young sweethearts sad I DO in their family church. I loved working with the unique lightning and my prism.
Scottie & Tyler had a lovely wedding at the Lange farm. Even though we had to go to plan B for the ceremony due to rain they stayed smiling and were rewarded with an incredible sunset!
OMG! Christina and Jeff had the most unique wedding ever!! They had a brunch for their unsuspecting friends and family to celebrate Christina’s most recent success in food blogging. Then just before the dessert course they surprised everyone with a wedding!! They have been together almost 20 years!
Josie and Joey had a vibrant and tropical wedding day at the Post Card Inn and I just love how the sun is coming through on their portrait…and that dress!! WOW!
Deanna and Mark are awesome creative professionals after my own heart. You’ve probably seen another version of this photo where they are laughing. I love that one so much! But I also am head of heels for this stunner too.
Well it’s pretty obvious by now that being a wedding photographer in Florida means that you have to know how to work with the rainy weather. Amanda and Nolan had a beautiful day at the B&B and even when a few showers went by they were laughing and in love!
GASP! This is one of my all time favorite photos ever. It reminds me of Gone with the Wind, where my name is from. Krystal & Kevin’s elopement in Orlando was gorgeous!! It was such an honor especially since she is also a photographer and an awesome one at that!
I was pretty much hyperventilating with happiest during every moment of Stef & Fraser’s INCREDIBLE wedding at the CaDaZan. DREAM COME TRUE!! They were so much fun and everything was gorgeous and GREEN!
Jessica and Dennis got engaged near this very spot in 2014. I loved their day and how full of sentimental details it was. Her dress was made by a friend!
Megan and Derek had a perfectly blush and vintage wedding day surrounded by an awesome crew! I loved having fun with the girls and all of the prettiness!!

In November we had to start dealing with a sunset time of 5:30 🙁 But it actually made for a gorgeous ceremony under the market lights for Alexa and Chris in Ybor.
Ahhh!! My long time friend got married!! Jenna and Nick had an amazing day and this first dance photo is one of may all time favs.
Valynnda and Steven celebrated their 15 year wedding anniversary with a SURPRISE vow renewal in their home! She is in her original wedding dress people! And their THREE children were amazing. It was the most intimate and inspiring ceremony yet.
