This post may be long overdue but I think you will agree that it was worth the wait. Wow. Donna & Jonathan’s wedding day was incredible. They had it ALL. We began the day at the gorgeous Vinoy Renaissance Hotel in downtown St. Pete. Their details were flawless but what I loved most was their nervous excitement. Donna squeezing in a cheeseburger before getting into her dress was priceless and the boys epic fail at tying their ties warms my heart so much! After consulting youtube they called in back up. How CUTE is Johnathan’s dad fixing them up?! 

Before we knew it it was time for them to see each other. My second shooter Cat and I arranged them back to back under the pink bouganvillas so they could both see each other at the same time. Gah! So much happiness! And lipstick 😉 It was so lovely to photograph them there and then to also shoot their small and special bridal party and family. It really eased things up for us to do more at the next venue. 

Over at the Sunset Ballroom the stage was set for a GORGEOUS indoor ceremony and reception. I really loved all of the orchids! And the AC. The best part of their beautiful ceremony were all the tears and smiles exchanged behind the room divider after! My heart! There was a palpable sense of relief and pure joy radiating from these two once they were officially MARRIED! We went off in their limo down the street to the Snell Isle bridge to play in the wind, wrapping up just before it started to rain. 

The reception kicked off with a receiving line and some incredible toasts. Jonathan’s father had everyone choking up with his eloquent and sincere words. Meanwhile the best man had everyone cracking up with his stories of epic nerdom with his best friend. They decided to have their first dance after dinner and sunset. We were so happy to sneak out in between showers. Playing with the puddles was so fun! The light was a dream. 

Their romantic first dance ended with their family and bridal party cutting in and then finally inviting everyone up! It was a great way to get the party started! They danced the night away and even brought out late night snacks and treats! It was truly an amazing day and they pulled out all of the stops. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Poon Tip!!!
