AHH!! Katie & Phil’s wedding day was so EPIC! It was so amazing and huge that Regina and I tagged teamed as lead shooters (www.ReginaAsThePhotographer.com). It was incredible. They had their closest 24 friends as bridesmaids and groomsmen and 4 beyond adorable flower girls. This day was all about love, friends, and family. They both had us crying with a grin all day. Seriously.
Katie could hardly keep it together putting her dress on…and when her mom held out her very own veil for her to wear just as her sisters had, we all went to pieces! But even before those beautiful moments we were awestruck with everyone’s perfect style and happy vibes! Katie details were so stunning and Femme Akoi KNOCKED it out of the park. They beautified 15+ ladies in probably less than 5 hours…stupid good. We were ecstatic to then take this massive group of lovelies into the even more massive lobby of Streamsong Resort. Regina and I were head over heels for this space. The giant bank of windows and elegant lines and details offset by the perfect amount of texture and contrast is what photographer dreams are made of. Also, before I forget how CUTE were their getting ready smocks! Etsy score!
From there, the day rapidly sped up into a joyful blur. Their ceremony was nothing short of magical. The forecast had called for rain all day and lots of wind. Luckily we only ever got a few sprinkles towards the sunset and that wind completely disappeared for the exact length of the ceremony. Honestly. It was dead calm, then as soon as the grandparents recessed it picked back up and even knocked over their arrangements.
We had a lovely time handling this group for formals, huge thanks goes out to them again for being so wonderful and cooperative! We were able to get through everything smoothly and enjoy the sunset over on the greens! EPIC!! But that wasn’t even the most exciting part of the evening! This group knew how to PARTY!! The new Mr. & Mrs. Robbins had the coolest first dance to a rendition of “I would walk 500 miles” that ended by bringing everyone onto the dance floor with them. They also had stations of amazing food in every corner pumping out treats all night to create a super fun and informal atmosphere. That big dance floor was always filled and when they busted out these amazing foam hats and glow sticks I think the roof was actually raised 🙂
It was such an honor to be a part of this amazing day and I am so thankful for my amazing right hand lady Kristina and the best colleague and partner around, Regina. It was a team effort for sure! Please enjoy these highlights and check back for the link to see Regina’s post too!!
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Robbins!
