Again, where do I even begin bout this day!? Ann & Ben had originally planned for a destination elopement on a cliffside in Italy. But I am SO glad they decided to have a big wedding in St. Pete instead! They channeled all of that inspiration into every aspect of their day. I mean so much style! Tuxes, textures, glamour, romance…the opposite of a typical hotel wedding.
What stands out most in my mind from this day was a phone call between the bride and groom just before the white dress went on. The forecast for the day was dismal. Wind and rain threatened all day. But their vision was of a wide open reception under the sky and market lights…not the plan B ballroom. The time to make the call came and went a few times and everyone had their own opinion. Ben called Ann, and he said, you know what, let’s risk it. We have dreamed of what we want, and you know what if taking a risk together on our wedding day is what we do then lets do it, together. Cue tears!
And man was everyone so glad that they did!! It was a tad windy but it NEVER RAINED A DROP! They had their dream wedding. Yep. Life is about taking risks, if you never try you have nothing to gain.
I could go on and on about all the other pretty things and special moments. But that was my favorite. See the rest for yourself.
Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Carlson! See you in Seattle in July!
