Purple Wildflower Bed and Breakfast Wedding | Bradenton, FL

I have had the pleasure of getting to know Steve & Jess for the year and half proceeding their wedding. They are both wonderful veterinarians in Tampa Fl. Jess specializes in Ophthalmology and Steve in emergency care. I knew we would be friends immediately, sharing a love of cats, emeralds, vintage everything, and so much more. When they explained that their wedding would be intimate and full of sentimental details I couldn’t wait for the big day to come. Throughout the planning process Jess excitedly kept me in the loop. We were both giddy over her breathtaking all lace gown from Malindy Elene and her perfectly vintage shoes, pinwheels, confetti and more from BHLDN. Jess took her time choosing each element that would create her perfect wedding day. I remember when she found Annie of Williams Wildflowers and could not stop gushing about how excited she was! All of the amazing florals at their wedding were Florida wildflowers! Grown locally and organically only miles from their venue. The colors, textures, and fragrances were like nothing I have ever seen. They were so incredibly beautiful! Then true icing on the top was the stunning custom cake stand Doughmestic Creations made for all of her individual sweets and treats. The rustic wooden tiers perfectly displayed all of the hand made yuminess! I was so honored and thrilled to capture it all, especially the pure joy and connection between the Mr. & Mrs. Their first look and first dance have been my favorite to date. It was as if no one else in the world existed. The ethereal voice of Jonathan signing Elvis Presley wasn’t too bad either! I love that they decided to hire him after so many fun dates at Ocean Prime where he regularly croons. The guests were incredibly impressed by him all night too! I just love these two and am so excited about how wonderful their wedding was!

A huge congratulations to the new Dr. & Dr. Tutela!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the wedding story straight from Bide Jessica:

“Steve and I first met during our first year at veterinary school at the University of Florida in 2005. Luck of the alphabet brought us together during freshman anatomy lab, as our last names were close enough to be assigned to the same group. We became fast friends and study buddies, and our relationship quickly blossomed! We have been inseparable ever since – graduating from veterinary school, completing a year internship in New Jersey, and relocating to Tampa for Jess to pursue advanced training in veterinary ophthalmology. Steve and I have an easy relationship – we are best friends and fully compliment each other in our personality traits. We love the outdoors and adventure travel, and also share a love for yoga. We are so grateful for the wonderful experience of our wedding! We felt so blessed from the outpouring of love from all of our close friends and family. We were thrilled with our wedding venue! The Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast was our first vendor choice, and after that, everything just seemed to happen effortlessly! We had such a wonderful team supporting us for our wedding day. The Palmetto B&B perfectly reflected our theme of simplicity and romance in a beautiful natural setting, combined with a true Old Florida feel. We chose our photographer Ashlee Hamon after viewing her amazing photographs in a wedding album on display at the B&B. We had our engagement session with Ashlee in December 2013, and she blew our minds with her expertise and fun attitude! We had never had professional pictures taken before, and she made us feel so comfortable. Ashlee referred me to the lovely Stephanie Moore of Moore Makeup Artistry who made me feel and look so glamorous for my big day! Caleb Randall of Randall Productions perfectly complimented Ashlee on our big day, and we had so much fun flirting for the video camera. He even brought a drone to film what I imagine to be amazing aerial shots of the venue and more importantly, the dance party after! Jonathan Cortez of Ace the Hole Entertainment brought down the house with his amazing singing voice and flair for entertainment! Nellie’s Catering not only provided an amazing meal and waitstaff, they were critical in our planning process and really helped to guide the vision for our wedding. Dennelle Morris of Dough-mestic Confections outdid herself on our cake display – customizing a gorgeous natural wood multi-tiered display featuring several beautiful naked fruit cakes, as well as our favorite for the wedding cake – chocolate with peanut butter filling! Alicia with A&P Design Company helped to create the perfect authentic letterpress invitations, programs and menu cards. Her design even featured a hand drawn live oak tree, to coordinate with our alter site underneath a grand oak at the B&B. Reverend Katherine Demarco of Made for Each Other Weddings personalized our ceremony perfectly – in fact, many guests said it was the most beautiful ceremony they had ever attended! She combined spiritual readings from many sources, and incorporated a wedding tree ceremony at our request. Finally, our wedding would not have been complete without the wonderful Annie Schiller of William’s Wildflowers. She created gorgeous bouquets, hanging displays, and table settings using only local wildflowers and native plants. The bouquets were lush and fragrant and so unique! Our guests were able to reuse the bouquets and take home a tiny potted pineapple plant to commemorate the occasion. We were so pleased to support her growing business, and proud to make this important environmental choice for our wedding.Special touches – grandmother’s broach on the bride’s bouquet, crystal candlesticks from the bride’s mother on the sweetheart table, vintage-esque mini suitcases from the bride’s mother used to hold the cards and programs.Vendor description – I forgot Malindy Elene -I was so thrilled to find my gorgeous lace gown from the lovely ladies at Malindy Elene. I must confess that I tried on many gowns (30+) before even making my appointment at Malindy Elene. When I described my ideal gown, the girls immediately knew they had the one for me – a beautiful lace cap sleeve Augusta Jones gown. I loved the shape of the gown on my body, as did my husband!Strings Attached live string music during ceremony.”
